Soccer Recap: Springstead Takes a Loss

After flying high against Citrus last Friday, Springstead came back down to earth. The Springstead Eagles came up short against the Steinbrenner Warriors on Monday, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 216th, while the Warriors are ranked 35th).

The defeat snapped Springstead's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-3 record. As for Steinbrenner, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0-1.

Springstead wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 10-0 win against Central on the 3rd. Steinbrenner has also already played their next contest, an 8-0 victory against Leto on the 3rd.
