Volleyball Recap: Tri Takes a Loss

Tri was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the South Decatur Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Titans of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Tri started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 26-24, 25-22, 25-20.

Tri's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for South Decatur, the win got them back to even at 13-13.

Coming up, Tri will welcome Northeastern at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Decatur, they will venture away from home to challenge Jac-Cen-Del at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
