Paynesville won the last time they faced Maple Lake and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Irish with a sharp 14-1 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Paynesville and bumps their season record up to 13-8. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Maple Lake, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-7-1.
