Basketball Recap: Shamokin Area Picks Up Tenth Straight Win at Home

Shamokin Area extended their home winning streak to ten games thanks to a huge performance from Joe Hile. The Shamokin Area Indians took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging an 81-50 win over the Jersey Shore Bulldogs thanks in part to Hile, who went 8 for 11 en route to 23 points along with six boards and five steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed four or more in the last four games he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Steinhart, who posted ten points and four steals. Those four steals gave him a new career-high.

Shamokin Area is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.9 points per game. As for Jersey Shore, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-7.
