Baseball Recap: Bosco Tech Continues Road Dominance on Thursday

With a playoff win on the line, Bosco Tech rose to the challenge on Thursday. They came out on top against the Baldwin Park Braves by a score of 7-2.

Jose Iniguez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Bosco Tech let Tyler Tafoya and Roman Valdepena run wild. Tafoya went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base, while Valdepena went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Aidan Ramos, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Bosco Tech's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-6. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Baldwin Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-6.

Looking ahead, Bosco Tech will take on Flintridge Prep at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Baldwin Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
