Volleyball Recap: Western Harnett Eagles vs. South Johnston Trojans

Western Harnett had lost six straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 2-8 to make it seven. They fell 3-1 to the South Johnston Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2020.

As for South Johnston, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-6. The game was the first time they have beaten Western Harnett on their court since October 19, 2015.

South Johnston found their leader in sophomore Lily Johnson, who had five digs and four aces. Amiyah Grace also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
