Volleyball Recap: Western Beats Monarch for Their Sixth Straight Win

Western came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Monarch Knights. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

Western never let Monarch on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17, 25-23.

Western was led to victory by Ian Bristol and Jayson Ruiz. Bristol had 21 digs, while Ruiz had 11 digs. That's the most digs Bristol has posted since April 1st.

Western pushed their record up to 17-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Monarch, their loss dropped their record down to 14-5.

Western does not have any more games scheduled as of now. After both having extra time off, Monarch and West Boca Raton will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
