Soccer Game Preview: Jenison vs. Muskegon

Jenison is on a six-game streak of home losses, and Muskegon a six-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Jenison Wildcats will host the Muskegon Big Reds at 5:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Jenison fell victim to Byron Center and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 8-0 to the Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, Jenison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 313th, while Byron Center are ranked 22nd).

Meanwhile, Muskegon also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Reeths-Puffer on Thursday, falling 9-0.

Muskegon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Jenison, their loss dropped their record down to 1-13.

Jenison took their victory against Muskegon in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 9-0 score. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Big Reds have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
