Basketball Recap: Mount Calvary Christian Academy Triumphs

If Heritage Christian Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Mount Calvary Christian Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Riley Tuten. The Warriors managed an 18-14 win over the Patriots on Friday for which the team can thank Tuten, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Mount Calvary Christian Academy's points.

Mount Calvary Christian Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Heritage Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Coincidentally, Mount Calvary Christian Academy and Heritage Christian Academy will both be playing Ahoskie Christian the next time they take the court. The Warriors will head out to face Ahoskie Christian at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Patriots will head out to face them at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday.
