Football Game Preview: Iowa-Grant Panthers vs. Boscobel Bulldogs

Iowa-Grant is a perfect 8-0 against Boscobel since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Panthers will take on the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Boscobel took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Iowa-Grant, who comes in off a win.

Iowa-Grant will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating River Ridge, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Panthers managed a 34-30 win over the Timberwolves on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their six-point performance the contest before.

Sam Lundell was nothing short of spectacular: he picked up 137 receiving yards and three TDs. He has become a key player for Iowa-Grant: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 80 receiving yards, but 0-4 otherwise. Brock Hinderman was another key player, having thrown for 306 yards and three touchdowns.

Iowa-Grant didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Landon Friesen and Calvin McHone. Friesen got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Boscobel fell victim to Riverdale and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 42-0 loss at the hands of the Chieftains. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Chieftains: they've now lost six in a row.

Boscobel's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Iowa-Grant, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Everything came up roses for Iowa-Grant against Boscobel in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 50-13 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
