Shadle Park is 8-1 against Ferris since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Highlanders will challenge the Saxons at 4:00 p.m. Shadle Park has given up an average of 13.1 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Shadle Park couldn't beat Mt. Spokane on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Highlanders came up short against the Wildcats, falling 21-4. Highlanders fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Wildcats since on Thursday.

Abby Smith was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run and two stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Bethany Rinas, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ferris). They blew past Gonzaga Prep 24-3 on Thursday. The Saxons have beaten the Bullpups the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bullpups has come to flipping the script.

Ferris' victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Shadle Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.

Shadle Park might still be hurting after the 21-9 loss they got from Ferris when the teams last played back in April. Can the Highlanders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
