Basketball Game Preview: Indiana School for the Deaf Deaf Hoosiers vs. River City Jaguars

Indiana School for the Deaf is on a 13-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and River City Jaguars a five-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Indiana School for the Deaf Deaf Hoosiers will get right back to it and host River City Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

On Thursday, Indiana School for the Deaf had to suffer through an 80-16 loss at the hands of Riverside. While losing is never fun, the Deaf Hoosiers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 472nd in Indiana, while the Argonauts are ranked 176th in Indiana).

Meanwhile, River City Jaguars played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by LKY 77-39. River City Jaguars was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-23.

Despite the loss, River City Jaguars saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Joseph Johnson went 5-for-7 en route to 15 points and six boards. Thanks to that strong game, Johnson now owns an excellent 45.7% field goal percentage. Luke Grant was another key player, going 5-for-11 on his way to 12 points.

Indiana School for the Deaf's defeat dropped their record down to 1-20. As for River City Jaguars, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
