Baseball Recap: Divine Child Comes Up Short

Divine Child made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Huron, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Falcons fell just short of the Chiefs by a score of 6-4 on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Chiefs: they've now lost four in a row.

Divine Child's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Huron, they pushed their record up to 17-2 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Divine Child will face off against Richard at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Pioneers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.36 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Huron, they will head out to face off against Edison Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
