Recap: American Leadership Academy - West Foothills Guardians vs. Round Valley Elks
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The American Leadership Academy - West Foothills Guardians, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 32-7 walloping at the hands of Round Valley on Friday. It was the first time this season that American Leadership Academy - West Foothills let down their fans at home.
Despite the loss, American Leadership Academy - West Foothills still got an impressive performance from Marquez Smith, who rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown.
American Leadership Academy - West Foothills' loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Round Valley, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-4.
American Leadership Academy - West Foothills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Round Valley is on the road again on Thursday and play against Sabino at 7:00 p.m. on November 9th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Sabino is ranked 59th, while Round Valley is ranked 66th).
