Basketball Game Preview: King & Queen Central Royal Tigers vs. Charles City Panthers

The King & Queen Central Royal Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Charles City Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 86-48, which was the final score in King & Queen Central's tilt against Mathews on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Charles City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They fell 47-39 to West Point.

King & Queen Central has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Charles City, their loss dropped their record down to 3-16.

King & Queen Central strolled past Charles City in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 55-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for King & Queen Central since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
