Softball Recap: Greenwood Beats Bowie for Their Fourth Straight Win

Greenwood came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Bowie Volunteers with a sharp 12-2 victory. With that win, the Rangers brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Berkley Jenkins looked comfortable as she pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. What's more, she also posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, Addison Arredondo was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Hannah Zarate, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and one triple.

Greenwood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .654. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Greenwood's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Bowie, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Greenwood didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 5-0 loss against Palmer on the 15th. As for Bowie, they will take on Grapevine in a tournament on Thursday.
