Softball Recap: Forest Park Rangers vs. North Posey Vikings
Forest Park extended their losing streak to five on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 4-9 in the process. They lost 21-6 to the North Posey Vikings. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rangers of the 7-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.
Forest Park saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Lindauer, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.
As for North Posey, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by seven runs or more this season.

In other batting news, North Posey got a massive performance out of Morgan Lavanchy, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. That's the most runs Lavanchy has posted since back in March. Addie Murphy also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Coming up, Forest Park will head out to face off against Tell City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Posey, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Evansville North at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
