Basketball Game Preview: North Myrtle Beach Chiefs vs. Myrtle Beach Seahawks

The North Myrtle Beach Chiefs will square off against the Myrtle Beach Seahawks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Friday, North Myrtle Beach came up short against St. James and fell 53-46. The Chiefs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Myrtle Beach hadn't done well against Carolina Forest recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Myrtle Beach strolled past Carolina Forest with points to spare, taking the game 55-38. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Seahawks.

Myrtle Beach is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for North Myrtle Beach, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.

North Myrtle Beach couldn't quite finish off Myrtle Beach when the teams last played back in February of 2024 and fell 50-48. Can North Myrtle Beach avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
