Baseball Recap: Orchard Park Quakers vs. St. Francis Raiders /Red

Orchard Park let St. Francis stack four runs on them in the third inning on Thursday but luckily Orchard Park prevailed anyway. The Quakers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the Raiders /Red. The win continues a trend for the Quakers in their matchups with the Raiders /Red: they've now won five in a row.

Luke Staniszewski made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs. Orchard Park is 2-1 when Staniszewski posts two or more stolen bases, but 5-7 otherwise.

In other batting news, Brody Monaco was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025. Richard Pincoski also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Orchard Park's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for St. Francis, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.
