Baseball Game Preview: James Kenan Tigers vs. Hobbton Wildcats

The James Kenan Tigers are taking a road trip to face off against the Hobbton Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hobbton took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on James Kenan, who comes in off a win.

James Kenan will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Kinston on Friday. The Tigers were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Vikings.

Meanwhile, Hobbton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 13-2 to Rosewood.

Hobbton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zack Aman, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

James Kenan's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Hobbton, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.

James Kenan couldn't quite get it done against Hobbton when the teams last played back in March of 2019 as they fell 11-7. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
