Baseball Recap: Mountain View Takes a Loss

Mountain View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the Buena Colts, falling 13-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mountain Lions of the 16-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Mountain View saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ayden Stott, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Mountain View's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Buena, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain View will welcome Maricopa at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mountain View is facing Maricopa at the right time seeing as Maricopa is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Buena, they will host Nogales at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
