Aidan Ledbetter was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Madison Crocker was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Josi Downey was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Kings Mountain got the win against Ashbrook two weeks ago by a conclusive 20-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mountaineers.
Like Crest, Kings Mountain also got a great game from a two-way player: Anna Wooten. She struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Those nine strikeouts gave Wooten a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, earning one RBI and two runs.

Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Crest has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Kings Mountain struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 2.5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Crest came out on top in a nail-biter against Kings Mountain when the teams last played back in March, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
