Basketball Recap: Doniphan Takes a Loss

After flying high against Portageville on Monday, Doniphan came back down to earth. The Dons lost to the South Pemiscot Bulldogs on the road by a 58-39 margin on Thursday. The game marked the Dons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Doniphan now has a losing record of 3-4. As for South Pemiscot, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Doniphan and South Pemiscot will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Dons see the court they'll take on Puxico at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026. As for South Pemiscot, their break will end when they face Westside at 7:15 p.m. on January 5, 2026.
