Basketball Game Preview: Troy Warriors vs. Sonora Raiders

Troy is 2-8 against Sonora since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Troy Warriors will host the Sonora Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Troy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Sonora likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Troy came up short against Yorba Linda and fell 76-64. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (55), the Warriors still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sonora). They secured an 80-76 W over Villa Park on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Raiders sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Sonora's victory bumped their record up to 11-15. As for Troy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-20.

Troy came out on top in a nail-biter against Sonora in their previous meeting two weeks ago, sneaking past 59-56. Does Troy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sonora turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
