Volleyball Recap: Straughn Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Straughn was the 2-1 winner over Dothan when they last played one another back in October of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Straughn sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 23-25, 15-8.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dothan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Reese Colbert, who had 20 digs and one assist. The team also got some help courtesy of Catherine Farmer, who had ten digs and ten assists.

Straughn's defeat dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Dothan, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-13 record this season.

Straughn has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Charles Henderson on the 7th. Dothan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
