The Iowa Colony Pioneers will be taking part in a tournament against the Lake Travis Cavaliers at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Iowa Colony is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Almeta Crawford with a sharp 3-0 win.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Iowa Colony was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-13, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Lake Travis had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against Round Rock on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Cavaliers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 8, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Lake Travis never let Round Rock on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-21, 25-22.
