Baseball Recap: Greensboro Day School Takes a Loss

Greensboro Day School has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They lost 17-4 to the Westchester Country Day Wildcats. The Bengals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Luke Ray was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Greensboro Day School is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-5. As for Westchester Country Day, they moved to 3-8 with that victory, which also ended their eight-game losing streak.

While Greensboro Day School had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
