Basketball Recap: Desert Mountain Comes Up Short

Desert Mountain lost against Campo Verde back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Desert Mountain Wolves took a 71-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Campo Verde Coyotes.

Desert Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Campo Verde, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-7.

Desert Mountain and Horizon will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Desert Mountain knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matchups -- so hopefully Horizon likes a good challenge. As for Campo Verde, they will face off against Notre Dame Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Campo Verde has won four straight at home, while Notre Dame Prep won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
