Softball Recap: Westridge Comes Up Short

Westridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Flintridge Prep Wolves, falling 15-9. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-5 on April 10th.

Lilah Rangel made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Marysa Ybarra, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Westridge's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9-1. As for Flintridge Prep, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Westridge is set to face off against their familiar foe Mayfield at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Flintridge Prep will take on rival Polytechnic at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
