Basketball Recap: Cashion Comes Up Short

Cashion has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 58-54 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fairview Yellowjackets. The Wildcats were probably out for revenge after losing 54-44 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Cashion's defeat dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Fairview, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 12-5.

Cashion will challenge Hennessey at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hennessey knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Cashion likes a good challenge. As for Fairview, they will square off against Thomas-Fay-Custer at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
