Vista Murrieta waltzed into their match on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Del Norte Nighthawks. That's more bragging rights for the Broncos, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Vista Murrieta got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-20.

Falynn Mitchell paced Vista Murrieta's offense, picking up five kills. Mitchell got some help from Sophia Crull and her five assists. Mitchell was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Vista Murrieta's win bumped their record up to 16-18. As for Del Norte, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-13-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Vista Murrieta will head out to face off against Temecula Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Del Norte, they will venture away from home to square off against San Pasqual at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Nighthawks are facing the Golden Eagles at the right time seeing as the Golden Eagles are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
