Baseball Recap: Lejeune Takes a Loss

Lejeune suffered their closest loss since May 2, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Southside Seahawks by a score of 12-10. The Devil Pups have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Austin James made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Noah Keller was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Lejeune's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Southside, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-9.

Looking ahead, Southside will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Greene Central at 5:00 p.m. Lejeune will be paying especially close attention to the Seahawks' match: after the Seahawks faces off against the Rams, they'll take on Lejeune again at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
