Basketball Recap: Nashua South Comes Up Short

Nashua South and Londonderry squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Nashua South had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 73-29 loss at the hands of the Londonderry Lancers. While losing is never fun, the Purple Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while the Lancers are ranked second).

Nashua South has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. The victory made it two in a row for Londonderry and bumps their season record up to 21-2.

Nashua South does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Londonderry, they will square off against Salem on Thursday. Salem will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Londonderry surely won't give up without a fight.
