Football Game Preview: Sherman Oaks CES Knights vs. Animo Robinson Monarchs

Sherman Oaks CES is 0-6 against Animo Robinson since September of 2015 but things could change on Saturday. The Knights will square off against the Monarchs at 10:00 a.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Sherman Oaks CES sitting on 11 straight victories and Animo Robinson on six.

Sherman Oaks CES is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 32-20 win over East Valley.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Daniel Truong and Ramon Palafox. Truong had a great game and rushed for 144 yards and one touchdown on only 13 carries. Meanwhile, Palafox was balling out in the loss, picking up 81 receiving yards and a pair of scores, while also rushing for 64 yards and one TD on only eight carries.

Sherman Oaks CES didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Truong and Matthew Perez. Truong's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 139 rushing yards.

Meanwhile, Animo Robinson earned a 16-6 victory over TEACH Tech Charter on Friday.

Sherman Oaks CES' win bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Animo Robinson, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Sherman Oaks CES suffered a grim 52-32 defeat to Animo Robinson in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
