Venice waltzed into their match on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Mulberry Panthers. For the Indians, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Venice had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-20, 15-13.

Venice pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Mulberry, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Looking ahead, Venice will take on Families Instructing Students HomeSchool at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mulberry, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Lake Highland Prep on the 29th.
