Basketball Recap: Jackson Hole Gets the Win

Jackson Hole's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They snuck past the Riverton Wolverines with a 53-49 win. This was a revenge game for the Broncs: when they faced off against the Wolverines back in January, they had to take a 45-33 loss.

When it comes to explaining why Riverton lost, don't look at Malachi Smith. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten rebounds. What's more, Smith posted five assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Ryan Cox was another key player, going 6-for-11 en route to 14 points and eight boards.

Jackson Hole's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-18. As for Riverton, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15.

Coincidentally, Jackson Hole and Riverton will both be playing Star Valley the next time they take the court. Riverton will host Star Valley at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Jackson Hole will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on February 27th.
