Soccer Game Preview: Eagle River vs. Chugiak

The Eagle River Wolves will challenge the Chugiak Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Eagle River is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: West Anchorage, who was ranked 12th at the time (Eagle River was ranked 19th). The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Monday. The result (or lack thereof) marked Eagle River's first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, Chugiak played to a draw too, finishing 1-1 against Service.

The Mustangs' goal came courtesy of Meadow Lewis, who's now up to four this season.

Eagle River's draw gives them a new season record of 1-7-1. As for Chugiak, they moved theirs to 5-2-1.
