Baseball Game Preview: Somerset Tech Jaguars vs. New Brunswick Zebra

For the second straight game, Somerset Tech will face off against New Brunswick. Somerset Tech will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against New Brunswick at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Somerset Tech is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They fell 8-4 to New Brunswick on Monday. The Jaguars have struggled against the Zebra recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Cole Russomanno was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Russomanno was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Anthony Torres was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one double. Another player making a difference was Nathanael White, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
