Volleyball Recap: Carolina Friends Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Carolina Friends lost against St. Thomas More Academy on September 3rd, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Quakers lost 3-0 to the Chancellors.

The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-5, 25-12.

St. Thomas More Academy was led to victory by Cecilia Dornan and Mary Frances Watkins. Dornan had five aces, while Watkins had four aces and three digs. With that strong performance, Dornan is now averaging an impressive 2.1 aces per game. Paulina Meyring also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Carolina Friends has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for St. Thomas More Academy, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carolina Friends will challenge Burlington Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Thomas More Academy, they will square off against Faith Christian at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
