Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ryleigh Bishop and Kenzie Handley Lead Beauregard to Victory + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Opelika, Beauregard was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Benjamin Russell Wildcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

Beauregard had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 13-25, 25-13, 25-23, 25-19.

Beauregard was led to victory by Kenzie Handley and Ryleigh Bishop. Handley had nine digs and one assist, while Bishop had ten digs and one assist. That's the most digs Handley has posted over her last four contests. Brynn Standridge also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Beauregard's record is now 15-10. As for Benjamin Russell, they dropped their record down to 3-17 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Beauregard will be playing in front of their home fans against Northside at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Hornets surely won't give up without a fight. Benjamin Russell has already played their next match (against Calera), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
