Recap: College Station Cougars vs. Lake Creek Lions
After a string of three wins, the College Station Cougars's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They lost to Lake Creek on the road by a decisive 63-46 margin. If College Station hoped to take revenge for the 60-33 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Aedan Lewis was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with five rebounds for Lake Creek. Lewis hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. Thomas Bell was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
College Station's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-5. As for Lake Creek, they pushed their record up to 20-6 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
College Station will take on Magnolia at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Magnolia will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 673rd, while College Station is ranked 271st). As for Lake Creek, they will head out on the road to square off against Montgomery at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
