Steubenville lost to Malvern back in December of 2020, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Sunday. The Steubenville Big Red walked away with an 82-71 win over the Malvern Hornets. Winning may never get old, but the Big Red sure are getting used to it with their 12th in a row.

Steubenville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aiden Davis, who went 8 of 17 en route to 27 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. Davis is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Will Taylor, who went 9 for 14 on his way to 21 points and five rebounds.

Steubenville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in eight consecutive matches.

Steubenville's record now sits at 12-1. As for Malvern, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-3.

When Steubenville and Malvern next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Steubenville will square off against St. Clairsville and their eight-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on January 28th. Steubenville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 76.4 points per game this season. Meanwhile, Malvern will try to stop Buckeye Trail's five-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Steubenville is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
