Basketball Recap: Snook Christian Academy Sets Scoring Season-High Against Jackson Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Snook Christian Academy). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Jackson Academy Eagles 73-35. Snook Christian Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 21 points or more this season.

Snook Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dawson Pierce out in front who went 7 for 15 on his way to 22 points and six steals. Pierce is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games he's played. Josh Gabel was another key player, going 9 of 16 en route to 20 points and seven boards.

Snook Christian Academy's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-8. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points per game. As for Jackson Academy, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Snook Christian Academy has already played their next contest, a 44-35 win against Sparta Academy on the 31st. As for Jackson Academy, they will head out to challenge Southern Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
