Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Providence Day's 17th in Last 19 Outings

Providence Day had won two straight games and Ginny Anne Dumont did her part to make it three on Tuesday. The Providence Day Chargers came out on top against the Charlotte Latin Hawks by a score of 53-40 thanks in part to Dumont, who went 6 for 10 en route to 14 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.

Another player making a difference was Julia O?Malley, who posted four points. What's more, she also racked up two steals, the most she's had since back in December of 2024.

Lanie Edwards and Charlotte Tune certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Edwards went 5 of 9 on her way to 11 points along with five boards and three steals, while Tune had 12 points.

Providence Day is on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 19 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.1 points per game. As for Charlotte Latin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-6.

Providence Day has already played their next game, a 50-23 win against Covenant Day on the 24th. As for Charlotte Latin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 62-2 victory against Charlotte Christian on the 24th.
