Basketball Recap: Lane Tech's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

If Oak Park-River Forest wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Lane Tech, they should've done a better job of containing Yanna Bakritzes. The Lane Tech Champions were the clear victor by a 44-24 margin over the Oak Park-River Forest Huskies on Thursday thanks in part to Bakritzes, who posted ten points and eight rebounds. That's the most points she has posted since back in January.

Lane Tech moved to 10-6 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Oak Park-River Forest, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Lane Tech didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-54 defeat against Rolling Meadows on the 27th. As for Oak Park-River Forest, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lyons at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
