Softball Game Preview: Mesquite Skeeters vs. Waxahachie Indians

The Mesquite Skeeters will square off against the Waxahachie Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Mesquite had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Duncanville put an end to it on Tuesday. The Skeeters came up short against the Panthers and Pantherettes, falling 10-0. The Skeeters' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Waxahachie won against Skyline on Friday with 18 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Indians didn't even let Lancaster on the board, marking the Indians' second-straight 18-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won 14 games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Waxahachie is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.4 runs over those games. As for Mesquite, their loss dropped their record down to 17-13-1.
