Merrill is 1-9 against Coleman since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Vandals are taking a road trip to take on the Comets at 4:00 p.m. One thing working in Merrill's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.

On Monday, Merrill got the win against St. Charles by a conclusive 14-7. The Vandals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by seven runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Coleman didn't have quite enough to beat Vestaburg on Monday and fell 2-1. The loss continues a trend for the Comets in their meetings with the Wolverines: they've now lost four in a row.

Kendall Allen was huge no matter where she played even without the win. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Allen was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

Allen wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Klaira Sysak, who went 1-for-3 with one double. That double marked the first that Sysak hit this season.
