Basketball Recap: Crossland Comes Up Short

Crossland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 53-33 to the Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cavaliers of the 67-39 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South was led to victory by Jordan Exton and Lincoln Nelson. Exton posted 15 points, while Nelson earned 16 points. Nelson has become a key player for Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 15 points, but 2-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Mayo, who scored six points and three steals.

Crossland's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-7.

Crossland has already played their next contest (against International High School at Largo), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South, they have already played their next game, a 78-52 defeat against Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North on the 13th.
