Baseball Recap: Watervliet Takes a Loss

After flying high against Kellogg on Thursday, Watervliet came back down to earth. The Panthers fell 7-2 to the Kalamazoo Central Maroon Giants on Monday. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Maroon Giants recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Watervliet saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emmett Williams, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Watervliet's defeat dropped their record down to 15-3. As for Kalamazoo Central, they moved to 14-16 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

While Watervliet had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
