Volleyball Recap: Wauseon Indians vs. Southview Cougars

Wauseon lost against Southview back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wauseon Indians took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southview Cougars. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Wauseon was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-21.

Southview found their leader in underclassman Audrey O'Neal, who had three digs and 14 assists. O'Neal is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in the last three games she's played.

Wauseon's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Southview, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wauseon is on the road again on Monday to play Paulding at 7:00 p.m. Paulding is coming into the contest with three straight losses at home, meaning Wauseon will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory. As for Southview, they will venture away from home to face off against Napoleon at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Southview is facing Napoleon at the right time seeing as Napoleon is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
